DANA is a personalized digital assistant that runs off of the data sourced from the individual module within the distributed Kyield OS. DANA was designed to assist any knowledge worker or patient with the ability to focus down to molecular level in conjunction with scientific or healthcare instruments. As with other efforts at Kyield, DANA has multiple influences and meanings. The photo is of the chocolate lab Dana who was a loyal companion to Mark & Betsy Montgomery for her entire life. Although Dana wasn't a service dog she was endowed with powerful capabilities her human companions lacked that enhanced awareness, safety and quality of life. Dana was named after actress Dana Delany in the role of nurse Colleen McMurphy in the TV series China Beach.
